Just a 28 year old full time mom with 2 wonderful, ACTIVE little boys that are 6 and 2. I also am a full time working girl. I have a great husband, great kids, great family, great friends, and a great church! What more could a girl ask for?
"Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them." Psalms 127:3-5
...so we are not giving up. Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small compared to the coming good times. The lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow, but the things we cannot see now will last forever. --2nd Corinthians 4:16-18
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born - it's an idea, a state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, high school & SEC football, beer, and acoustic guitars. It's being hospitable, being devoted to front porches, moon pies, sunsets, and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way.
Old Marriage Prayer
May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty bless your world with joy that long endures. May all life's passing seasons bring the best to you and yours.
1 Timothy 1:15-17 (New International Version)
15Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. 17Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
