Fairpark 2008

The other day Shad, Will Thomas, Tate & I went to the Faripark Park downtown to play. Tupelo Women's club gave the city a new playground for the kids to play on to go with the wonderful fountain that is already there. They had a blast! I am thankful to live in such a "family friendly" city!

Such a BIG BOY!!

Will Thomas has learned to ride his bike without training wheels. He really started showing interest in learning last week, so Shad took the training wheels off. We took him to the park to learn and started trying to teach him. Well, he would have nothing but to do it BY HIMSELF! He started trying and in like 2 days he taught himself. We actually took him today and got him the nesx size bigger bike. I can't believe how big he is getting!

The Metal Daisy

For all the 10's of people that actually read my blog...I wanted to give a little "shout out" to my friend Andrea and her new business http://themetaldaisy.blogspot.com/. She has been a friend of mine for more than 10 years and has more talent in her little finger than I have in my whole body! She is so creative and can do anything! She specializes in custom baby door hangers, canvases, and Initial Door Hangers! Take a look and let me (or her) know what you think...or better yet, send her an email and she will be happy to create anything for you!
*This is actually one of my door hangers that she did for me! PRECIOUS!!

Shots, Soccer, Southern Living, Softball and a little bit of Monkey!

I realized the other day by reading others blogs that I really don't write very much on here, which is really the point of a blog, isn't it? I thought I would get on here for a little Chappell Update!

Where to begin...

We registered WT for Kindergarten last Wednesday and boy is he excited. He keeps asking if he can go, "in the morning!" He had to get his shots before we registered and Shad took him and said that he did great even though he had told me that morning that if he had to get shot, he just wouldn't go to school! I cannot believe he is old enough to be going to go to school...AAHHH!!! We also are now getting into the 3rd week of spring soccer and it is going as well as the fall season did. WT is quite a little athlete. We will start tee-ball in May and he is super excited about that.

Tate is the character of the Chappell Clan! He is kind of "too cool for school!" He loves to get into everything and if you set anything, i.e. cell phone, remote, etc. he will bring it right back to you. He also loves you to read books to him and say the animal sounds. Also, every time you change his diaper he says "BATH!?!" He LOVES to get a bath. He is sleeping about 11 hours at night and loves is stuffed monkey. Lord knows, we go NOWHERE without the monkey.

Shad is still working the weekends and being Mr. Mom during the week. Last week he had the 1st practice for the church softball team and loved every minute of it. I think it is going to be good for him to get out and be with men his own age instead of the little boys! For his first time playing I think he thought he did pretty good. He was kind of sore the next day, but not as bad as he (or I) thought he was going to be.

As for me, work is work and that is all I can say about that....I do have a new adventure, though. I am now a new consultant for Southern Living at Home. I am super excited about this and hope to do really well. I had a great first party and I will have my 2nd party this weekend at my moms house in Rome and I think it will be great also.

I think that just about covers it! Shots, Soccer, Southern Living, Softball and a little bit of Monkey!
